Religion is inherited, Atheism is chosen

    Many people who reject belief in God bit still care deeply about meaning in ethics, awe and mindfulness. Rather than signaling loss of values, this reflects a shift where those who values are grounded. Younger generations in particular are consistently less religious than older generations. Growing up amid cultural diversity, scientific literacy and constant online discourse makes belief feel optional rather than assumed.

    The rise of atheism is not uniform across the world, atheism is growing fastest in Europe much of Asia and North America. While religion remailns strong elsewhere. Religion is often inherited passed down through family and culture, atheism by contrast is more often chosen. A social pressure to conform weakness, more people feel free to say ” Actually… i dont believe this.

    Religious institutions were once pillars of social and moral authority. However scandals, political entanglements and perceived hypocrisy have significantly eroded public trust. As a result many people are not rejecting spirituality itself but rather organised religion.
